These sleds were built using the original irons off an old set of sleds, but with mostly new wood cut and shaped this fall. Right now they are set up with a pole to run behind a team, but they aren't very wide and can work behind a single horse as well. Many variations of sleds similar to these were used to move a lot of the wood that came out of Maine. With few changes bobsleds continue to be a great tool for hauling timber from the forest, especially in snow.
